Interior ministry announced that the services termination of 3000 employees who were suspected of either corruption or human rights abuses and changed in the high ranks commanders. Members of the police forces of this ministry accused of involvement in sectarian attacks.
Ministry source said the under taken changes ensure a strict measures will be adopted to stop the violence in the country.
He added “We are currently working to restructure the sensitive posts in the ministry i.e leaderships of the police or security forces as well as minister deputies”
He also added “around 3000 have released from the service since last May on the grounds of suspicion of corruption or Human rights abuse with no clarification of involvement in the sectarian violence but indication 600 will face un specified penalties.
PM Almaleki said previously that a political solution is required for the sectarian violence problem in Iraq. This solution will lead to dissolve the militias as a result.
American military commanders said they noticed an increase in the sectarian killing between Shia and Sunnis especially in Baghdad during month of Ramadan”
